You might use a Prosthesis if you have lost body part due to injuries or diseases. A Prothesis can be an external part that you wear during the day and remove at night - like a Prosthetic Limb.

There are many types of Prosthetic devices which help people to regain mobility. They fall into two main categories -

1] Trans-Tibial.

2] Trans-Femoral.

Each serve different functions depending on which body part is missing. Prosthetic Leg or Prosthesis can help people with leg amputations to get around more easily. They mimic the functions and sometimes even the apperance of a real leg. Some people still need cane, walker or crunches to walk with Prosthetic Legs while others can walk freely.
