Orthotics is a para-medical field in which the application and manufacturing of devices which were support or correct the function of a malfunctioning body part. It deals with the provisions and use of artificial devices such as Splints and Braces. Orthotic services includes Prescription Insoles, Braces, Splints, Callipers, Foot wears, Spinal Jackets and Helmets which help people to recover from the disabilities. Orthotic devices are specially designed for those people who have physical impairments to live Healthy, Independent and Dignified lives.
There are three (03) common types of orthoses known as -
1] Supportive.
2] Corrective.
3] Preventive.

The HKAFO (Hip Knee Ankle Foot Orthosis) device is used to provide support to the patient while standing, moving forward. An HKAFO improves Body Alignment and Posture, Increases Bone and Muscle Strength, and Enhances Independence and Self-Esteem.
Arch Support inserts are devices placed into your shoes to support the arch of your foot in order to reduce – or even eliminate – pain. Good Feet Arch Supports, in particular, are designed to support all four arches of the foot, placing the feet in the ideal position, and aligning the body from the feet up.
This Orthosis (Brace) is used to restrict movement of the mid and lower spine while it heals. Your surgeon will decide how long you are required to wear the TLSO.
Knee Braces are used to treat Knee Osteoarthritis, Knee Varus, and Knee Valgus to support the Knee, Reduce Pain, and improve Physical Function. Knee Braces can quickly and easily relieve pain and stiffness, and help with healing and preventing future injuries. Knee braces can help improve mild to moderate Varus or Valgus Instability. They can also improve Balance, Proprioception, and Physical function.
A KAFO (Knee-Ankle-Foot Orthosis) is used to treat a variety of conditions, including Polio, that affect the Knee, Ankle, and Foot. KAFOs are custom-made to the individual's needs and can be made from a variety of materials, including Polypropylene and Steel. They are used in neuro rehabilitation and can provide stability and assistance with hip extension.
L. S. Corset / L. S. Frame is used to provide spinal support and treat lower back pain. L.S. corsets can help with conditions such as Lumbar Spondylitis, Intervertebral Disc Syndrome, Low Backache, Postural Fatigue, and Osteoporotic Pain. They can also be used after surgery or injury to promote healing.
Dennis Brown Splint (D. B. Splint) is lightweight high-quality aluminum alloy. It is used to deal with the problem in the hips, legs, or both at the same time. A Dennis Brown splint is used when the foot is smaller than the normal foot. The main purpose of the Splint is to correct the pathalogical condition of the foot called CTEV (Congenital Talipes Equino Varus). It is also called as CTEV Splint.
Ankle Foot Orthoses (AFOs) are used to treat Spasticity, Foot Correction and Contractures by limiting unwanted movements in the ankle and foot. AFOs are commonly used for patients with conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, and Peripheral Nerve Injury. They can also be used for patients with arthritis or ankle and foot deformities or fractures.
Leg Length Discrepancy (LLD) is assessed to determine if a person has an arm or leg that is longer than the other, and to determine the appropriate treatment. LLD can be caused by a number of conditions, including congenital issues, illness, or trauma. Symptoms include Pain, Fatigue, Instability, or Dislocation.
Hand Braces, also known as Splints, are used to support and protect joints in the hand and wrist, and can help with a variety of conditions like Injuries, Developmental Diseases, other special conditions - burn. Splints can be used for joints affected by arthritis or for other conditions.
Insoles for off-loading are used to help relieve pain and discomfort in the foot, and to help the skin and tissues repair themselves. They can be used for a variety of foot disorders, including diabetic foot ulcers, and can help prevent ulceration.
A Charcot Restraint Orthotic Walker (CROW) is used to treat Charcot Neuroarthropathy (CN), a condition that occurs when the bones and joints in the foot break or pop out of place. A CROW is a custom-made, rigid boot that helps with : Reducing pain, Preventing ulcers, Protecting the joints and skin by distributing weight over the foot etc.
A Push Knee Brace is used to support and stabilize the knee, while a gutter splint is used to stabilize. The knee brace can be used to make the straight while standing. Especially, used for CP patients.
Customized Spinal Braces are used to treat a variety of spinal conditions, including : Pain Management, Injury Prevention, Healing, Muscle Weakness, Deformity Correction, Spinal Stability, Burn Prevention, Vericose Veins etc.
